Chevy Corvette Auction Raises $3.6 Million for Operation Homefront

2022 Corvette C8 | Fort Worth, TX

While Chevrolet has a reputation for its American-made cars, it’s also known for giving back to those who help make America the great nation that it is today. To this end, it recently auctioned off the first retail 2023 Chevy Corvette Z06 70th Anniversary Edition at Barrett-Jackson.

Proceeds from the sale of this Corvette went directly to Operation Homefront, a nonprofit that supports American military families. This organization strengthens and assists those that serve our country in a variety of ways. This includes connecting wounded vets with rent-free transitional housing to helping military families in need pay for housing, utilities, and food.

President and CEO of Operation Homefront expressed gratitude for the $3.6M donation. “The proceeds […] will go a long way to helping us help our military families overcome their financial hardships and have the opportunity to thrive in the communities […] they’ve worked so hard to protect.”

This recent auction is just the latest way that Chevrolet is continuing its legacy of sponsoring Operation Homefront. In the past, the automaker has supported the organization financially and donated seven Silverado trucks to the nonprofit.
